MY BESTIE

I have been dating Alex for nearly five years. And wow, we have quite a journey, so if you want to hear it, keep reading.

We started dating our sophomore year of highschool (pics below)! Yikes!!! The "official" first day we became boyfriend and girlfriend was January 28, 2012.

I found the years fly by when you date your best friend! I couldn't ask for someone better.

And in 2014, we graduated high school

The summer of 2014 brought big changes to our lives. As summer flew by, I prepared to head to California for school and Alex prepared to serve his 2 year LDS mission in Mexico City! Despite being completely unready to separate, we headed in the directions we knew we were supposed to be. It was the hardest goodbye I have ever had to make.

Alex served his mission and was adorable as always.

I wrote him letters, sent him packages, and fantasized about his return.

Don't worry, I did more than just that. I also moved to California to further my education at Chapman University, joined a business fraternity and a sorority, spent a semester studying abroad in London, landed my first internship, and spent the holidays and summers back in my beautiful hometown of Seattle.

On August 18th, 2016, Alex surprised me by coming home from his mission a day earlier than I expected.

It was the most surreal feeling in the entire world.

I love him, a lot and I am so glad he's home. :')
